Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education per year and yearly competency testing.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with a valid license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking and range of motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, dining, housekeeping and laundry as needed.
