Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at The Good Samaritan Society De Smet Center in De Smet, SD provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision. You will assist with bathing, grooming, and mobility, and help maintain safety and comfort for residents.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with meals, and supporting wellbeing programs. A CNA certification and state registration are required or pursued, with facility-provided training available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• 12 hours continuing education annually.
• UAP Registry where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Record vital signs and assist with meals and hydration.
• Ensure infection prevention practices and PPE use.
