Job summary

Markesan Resident Home Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct care and support for residents in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal services, weight checks, and documented progress under the supervision of nursing staff.

The role requires CPR/BLS, a valid CNA certificate, and at least one year of relevant experience. Ability to work with a diverse resident population and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification.
• At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living in accordance with care plans and procedures.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, baths, wheelchairs, or lifts.
• Coordinates dining room services at mealtimes: setup/cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and meal intake documentation.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and ensures intake; documents intake accordingly.
• Assists with weighing residents and reports weight changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition; reports pressure areas or skin issues to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets and documents resident progress as directed by supervisor.
• Keeps nurse/supervisor informed of factors affecting performance.
• Reports changes in resident condition to nurse/supervisor.
