Job summary

Plaza Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care following established policies and procedures. The CNA will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, and Director of Nurses to ensure high-quality resident care at all times.

Responsibilities include resident rounds every shift, assisting with meals, personal care, and hygiene, and reporting concerns promptly to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a nursing assistant program or hold CNA licensure.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during training.
• Demonstrates genuine desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Do resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Assist with dressing, meals, hygiene and mobility as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of residents and their environment.
• Report any complaints, abuse or hazards to the Charge Nurse immediately.
• Attend in-service training and follow established infection control procedures.
• Other related duties as directed by supervisors.
