Job summary

Qualifications

• CNA license required.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical exposure during training.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Able to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and empathy.
• In good general health and emotional stability.
• Able to relate to ill, elderly and challenging residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator promptly.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Keep water pitchers clean, filled, and within resident reach.
• Other related duties as directed by supervisors.
