Job summary

Vitality seeks a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to support residents with daily living activities and simple treatments as outlined in service plans. You will aid in emotional health and basic behavioral support, and assist with laundry and pet care as needed.

You will participate in onboarding and ongoing training, follow all policies, and collaborate with the Wellness Director to ensure residents experience dignity, choice, and belonging.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Support residents' emotional health and address behavioral issues per care plans.
• Perform other services for residents (e.g., laundry and pet care) as indicated in service plans.
• Observe and report resident problems to supervisor or on-duty staff.
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service training and team meetings.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Wellness Director.
