Job summary

Pleasanton South Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Nurse’s Aide to provide quality daily nursing care to residents in a respectful, compassionate environment. Duties include assisting with ADLs, documenting care, and supporting restorative tasks as directed by the nursing leadership.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, privacy, and teamwork within the Nursing department; prior CNA experience with geriatrics is preferred. This on-site position supports residents across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification as required by state and federal law.
• Experience caring for geriatric residents preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and toileting.
• Maintain resident safety, privacy and dignity; report changes to the Charge Nurse.
• Document care provided and resident observations in the charting system.
• Serve meals, help with feeding as needed and monitor intake.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning; use proper body mechanics.
• Follow care plans and participate in restorative and rehabilitative nursing tasks.
• Report equipment issues and maintain clean, safe resident rooms.
