Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide essential support under RN direction, delivering compassionate basic care, assisting with patient transport, and contributing to the patient’s plan of care as part of our interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a dedicated service mindset, strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to dignified, high-quality healthcare across the Puget Sound region.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program, upon hire
• Military medical specialty training, upon hire
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Food Handler Permit: WA, upon hire
• Six months related work experience (preferred)
• Experience in a hospital setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides patient personal care/hygiene and physical comfort
• Includes feeding, bathing, shaving, changing clothes, bed making, ambulation, lifting, turning
• Transferring, skin care and bowel/bladder elimination
• Prepares patient, equipment and supplies for procedures/examinations
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the RN
• Transports specimens and provides information to nursing staff for the interdisciplinary plan of care
