Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in a fast-paced Chicago hospital. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will document vitals, intake/output, and assist with rounds, admissions, and discharges, while collecting specimens and helping with transports. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and input/output; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes and prepares rooms.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care tests as indicated.
• Runs errands, restocks nursing area, cleans equipment and work areas.
• Assists with patient positioning and transporting; supports dietary needs.
