Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and comfort while maintaining infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process of certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; willingness to obtain CNA certification if not already certified.
• Continuing education as part of annual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Record vital signs and monitor residents' health status per care plan.
• Support dining and nutritional needs, including meal assistance.
• Document care and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
