Job summary

Visiting Angels in Bel Air, MD, is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal and home care services to clients in their homes. You will help with bathing, grooming, mobility, meal support and medication reminders, while ensuring safety and dignity at all times.

Applicants should be at least 18, with private duty care experience preferred, and be able to communicate clearly. Training is provided; variable hours and supportive team environment offered.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age required.
• Experience in private duty home care preferred.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written.
• Healthy with current TB testing and legal work status.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to each client’s Care Plan.
• Assist with personal care activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, oral hygiene, and bedtime care.
• Assist with bathroom use and continence care; keep client clean and dry.
• Administer support for client self-administration of medications.
• Document care furnished and report incidents to supervisor promptly.
• Support client exercise, ambulation, transfers, and maintain safe body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment; report hazards immediately.
• Communicate respectfully with clients and team; protect confidentiality.
• Attend required in-service training and seek assistance when needed.
