Job summary

Visiting Angels of Harford & Cecil Counties is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care for clients in Bel Air and surrounding areas. The role includes personal care, mobility assistance, and medication reminders, while maintaining client dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrate sympathetic attitude toward caring for others.
• Previous experience in private duty home care preferred.
• Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing.
• Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm and maintain a sense of humor; and present a well-groomed professional image.
• Ability to generate goodwill for the organization and its management among staff, clients, and referral sources.
• Possess and maintain good physical and mental health, including current TB testing.
• U.S. Citizen or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to client Care Plans and precautions.
• Assist with personal care activities (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Assist with bathroom needs and maintain cleanliness.
• Support client self-administration of medications.
• Document care provided and report incidents to supervisor.
• Monitor safety hazards and environmental conditions; report promptly.
• Engage in respectful social interaction and protect client privacy.
• Maintain good hand washing and infection control practices.
• Attend required in-service training and follow instructions.
