Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Florissant, MO is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support elderly residents and collaborate with the medical team. The role requires compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help residents maintain dignity and quality of life.

The CNA will assist with daily living activities, mobility, dining, and nourishment, while documenting care and communicating changes to nurses and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of state-approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state competency exam.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in long-term care preferred.
• Able to express self in written and oral communication in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living per care plans and policies.
• Helps with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Coordinates dining room services at mealtimes, including setup, delivery, feeding, and documenting intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and documents intake.
• Weighs residents and reports weight changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports any issues to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily and documents progress as directed by supervisor.
• Keeps nurse/supervisor informed of factors affecting performance.
