Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide in good standing or graduate of a state-approved CNA training program and passed the competency exam.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in long-term care preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in an interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurse staff and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living per care plans.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, and transferring residents.
• Coordinates dining room services, including setup, delivery, and intake documentation.
• Documents weight, meal intake, and skin condition changes per policy.
• Notifies nurse and supervisor of changes in resident condition.
• Maintains flow sheets and communicates issues affecting tasks.
