Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of state-approved CNA training program and passed state exam within 120 days of employment.
• Meets all state and federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift devices.
• Respond promptly to call lights and changes in resident condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provide postmortem care if required.
