Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Greensboro, NC is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities at 3420 Whitehurst Road. You will help residents maintain independence and participate in community activities.

You must have a current NC CNA license, be able to communicate clearly, and work well with a team. The role requires lifting and transfers, willingness to work weekends, and a commitment to respect and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Completes all other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report resident status, upcoming appointments, admissions, and transfers.
• Maintain confidentiality and document in the Daily Log and clinical record.
• Plan and conduct activity programs for residents.
• Assist residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activities.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Notify family as directed.
• Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status and information.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
