Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in Oakland, MO is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under the guidance of the Charge Nurse. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, safety, and documentation per unit standards.

You will complete rounds, monitor vital signs, respond to call lights, and help prepare residents for admission. A high school diploma and active CNA certification are required; CPR certification preferred or obtainable within six months;

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Active CNA certification in the state you will be working.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety per guidelines.
• Document accurately into patient records and in daily reports.
• Orient new residents and ensure arm bands and admission kits are provided.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs; complete rounds as assigned.
• Assist with vital signs, intake/output, and routine procedures as directed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; alert Charge Nurse to additional needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
