Job summary

Accolade Healthcare of Danville is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and restorative support to residents under the supervision of an LPN or RN. The role focuses on daily living activities and helping residents achieve greater independence, delivering high-quality care as part of a dedicated nursing team.

The CNA will perform basic nursing tasks, ensure privacy, and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Certificate for nurse aide training approved by Illinois Board/Regulation.
• Active listing or eligibility on the Illinois DPR CNA registry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emotionally and physically demanding situations with professionalism.
• Competence using technical equipment and learning new materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Support residents in achieving independence in self-care activities.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and the nursing team.
• Demonstrate patience and tact when interacting with residents and families.
• Maintain calm demeanor during emergencies.
• Follow verbal and written English communications and instructions.
• Adapt to interruptions and manage a flexible schedule.
