Accolade Healthcare of Waterloo is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform fundamental nursing tasks under the direction of an LPN or RN. You will provide personal care and restorative support to residents, helping them achieve greater independence in daily living activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and collaborating with nursing leadership and staff to ensure high-quality care in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Nurse aide training course approved by Illinois Board of Education or equivalent as defined by Illinois DPR.
• Active listing or eligibility to be listed on the Illinois DPR CNA registry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emotionally and physically demanding situations with professionalism.
• Competence in using technical equipment and learning new materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Support residents in achieving independence in self-performance activities.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect resident privacy.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and other staff.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, and tact when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
• Manage sudden census changes and challenging residents with professionalism.
• Maintain calm demeanor during emergencies.
• Follow verbal and written communications in English.
• Problem-solve and interpret instructions accurately.
