The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a nurse aide training certificate approved by the Illinois Board, and active listing or eligibility on the Illinois CNA registry, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle demanding situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Nurse aide training course approved by the Illinois Board or equivalent.
• Active listing or eligibility on the Illinois CNA registry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emotionally and physically demanding situations with professionalism.
• Competence in using technical equipment and learning new materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Support residents in achieving independence in self-performance activities.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulations.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and other team members.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, and tact with residents, families, and staff.
• Manage changes in census and challenging resident interactions professionally.
• Maintain calm demeanor during emergencies.
• Follow verbal and written communications in English.
• Problem-solve and interpret instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with individuals of all educational levels.
• Adapt to interruptions in a busy environment.
• Learn and operate technical materials and equipment.
• Enter and obtain information using computer systems.
• Adhere to facility policies, nursing procedures, and care standards.
