Office Location: 260 Alpha Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15238

Coverage area: Monroeville, Irwin, Murrysville, New Kensington (may travel throughout territory)

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care needs and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Report to the Case Manager if unable to perform a task.
• Communicate positively with patients and families, respecting confidentiality.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment (foot stools, side rails, oxygen).
• Provide personal care: baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linens.
• Assist with dressing, undressing, feeding, and meal planning.
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe patient's skin condition.
• Assist with ambulation, exercises, and transfers.
• Support medication reminders and light laundry tasks.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Maintain a respectful and professional environment.

Qualifications

• Meet state training requirements; completed 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Minimum six months experience providing personal care.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, follow instructions, and document care.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and terminally ill care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Good communication, organizational skills, and tact.
• Ability to work independently and handle issues related to death/dying.
