Office Location: 115 Union Avenue Altoona, PA 16602

Coverage area: Bedford/Fulton - Travel throughout the territory required

Schedule: Full Time Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM

How You Will Contribute

You will make a difference by coordinating with the nurse to provide safe patient care, reporting on patient conditions, performing personal care, taking vitals, communicating with families, and other duties. Qualifications

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice
• Minimum of six months experience including personal care
• At least 18 years old
• Complete 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours of classroom must be completed prior to 16 hours of practical training)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care
• Understanding of hospice philosophy; comfortable providing care to the terminally ill
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
