Job summary

Allpro Homecare is seeking an Experienced CNA to join our team and support our mission of delivering quality non-medical homecare to veterans. The role offers a flexible schedule, weekly pay, and access to online training, with duties focused on direct client care and everyday assistance.

Requirements include a valid Rhode Island CNA license, at least one year of caregiver experience, and the ability to pass a background check and immunization requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience providing basic care such as bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Capable of maintaining patient safety and following care plans.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.
• Must meet background check and vaccination requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assists client with toileting, including bedpan or toilet
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation using cane, walker, or wheelchair
• Performs light housekeeping duties
• Plans, prepares and serves meals with client input
• Reports unusual events to administrator
• Responds quickly and appropriately in emergencies
• Completes other duties per Client Service Plan

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Report any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan

• Current state license in good standing as an CNA
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to pass a Rhode Island's National background check
• State-required Flu Shot (annually thereafter)
• State-required Hepatitis B Shot
• State-required Immunization Record (Flu, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID)
• State-required Birth Certification upload
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Adequate physical endurance
