Job summary

Allpro Homecare is seeking an Experienced CNA to join our team and support veterans with quality non-medical homecare.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, transfers, meal prep, and light housekeeping, while maintaining safety and dignity. The ideal candidate has an active CNA license, 1 year caregiving experience, and availability for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current state license in good standing as an CNA.
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare setting.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass Rhode Island background check.
• State-required Flu Shot, Hepatitis B, and immunizations.
• Birth certification upload.
• Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation.
• Hoyer lift experience.
• Able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

• Assists client with transfers and ambulation using cane, walker, or wheelchair.
• Performs housekeeping duties.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals with client assistance when able.

• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Completes all other duties per Client Service Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Report any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan

Requirements

Qualifications:

Client prefers a male CNA

• Current state license in good standing as an CNA
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to pass a Rhode Island's National background check
• State-required Flu Shot (annually thereafter)
• State-required Hepatitis B Shot
• State-required Immunization Record (Flu, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID)


• State-required Birth Certification upload
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Adequate physical endurance
