Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking compassionate CNAs or Nurse Apprentices to support patient‑centered care across hospital units. You’ll work with nurses and care teams, choosing preferred units and providing hands‑on support in a team environment.

Positions include full‑time or part‑time night shifts with potential for scholarship and educational support to advance a nursing career. Weekend and holiday coverage is required where scheduled.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification current in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC or ASHI.
• Nurse Apprentice must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE/CNEA).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, compassionate care to patients.

Available Opportunities Medical Surgical

Status: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shift: Nights

Schedule Options:

• Two 12-hour shifts per week (2×12)
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (3×12)

• Choose your preferred unit: Select your top two preferred units during the application process.
• Make a difference: Provide hands‑on support and compassionate care to patients throughout their hospital experience.
• Work as a team: Partner with nurses and other members of the care team to support safe, high-quality patient care.
• Weekend and holiday coverage: All positions require weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.
• Additional pay: Eligible positions may qualify for applicable night and weekend shift differentials.

Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI).

Qualifications: Nurse Apprentice

The Nurse Apprentice opportunity is designed for nursing students who want to gain valuable hands‑on experience while continuing their education.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA accreditation.

Experience:

• 0 years of experience required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Nurse Apprentice Letter or Nursing Intern Letter from the State Board of Nursing.
• The Nurse Apprentice may remain in the Nurse Apprentice position following graduation while awaiting RN or GN licensure, for up to 90 days or until licensure, whichever comes first.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross (ARC).
