Job summary

Apple Rehab Hewitt in Shelton, CT is hiring a CNA for full-time or part-time shifts. Starting pay is $20 per hour with shift differentials and additional weekend pay. Responsibilities include assisting residents with bathing, grooming, and daily care, documenting care, and reporting changes in condition.

Per diem coverage requires two weekend shifts monthly. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, 401K, disability coverage, and more.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, and mobility.
• Document personal care per facility policies.
• Provide nursing functions including perineal care, bed making, turning, and recording vital signs.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and skin integrity.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and promptly; answer call lights.
• Record all necessary charting entries.

Job Opportunity:

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay: Competitive rates starting at $20 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Weekend Differential: $1.75 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked up to 40 hrs

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time and Part-time: 7am - 3pm
• 3pm - 11pm

Responsibilities: Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
