Apple Rehab Middletown, a 70-bed skilled nursing facility in Middletown, CT, is seeking a CNA to assist residents with daily care and document nursing functions. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, based on experience, with shift differentials for 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.

Per diem options and a benefits package including health insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k), and paid time off are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies and reports changes in residents’ condition to supervisor.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, bedmaking, turning residents and taking vital signs.
• Observes and reports any skin breakdowns or changes in condition.
• Responds to emergencies calmly and efficiently and handles call lights promptly.

Job Opportunity: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay: Competitive rates ranging $18-$22 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• 3pm-11pm (32 hours or 24 hours/ week)
• Per Diem

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
