Job summary

Apple Rehab West Haven is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our caring team. You will assist residents with daily needs, document care, and report changes promptly in a warm, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm toward residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, and hygiene.
• Support activities of daily living and mobility, including positioning and transfers.
• Record all care given and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor.
• Observe for skin breakdowns and respond to emergencies calmly and promptly.
• Respond to call lights and ensure charting is accurate and timely.

Job Opportunity: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay: Competitive rates starting at $20/hour

Differentials Offered:

• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• 7a-3p | 3p-11p | 11p-7a
• Per Diem welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Additional Expectations:

Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
