Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic in Mystic, CT is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a caring team. Competitive base pay up to $25.50 per hour, with shift differentials and weekend options for reliable per diem staff.

Full-time and part-time shifts include 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, plus per diem opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities, documenting care, and reporting changes to supervision.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed.
• Certified Nursing Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration.
• Certified Nursing Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries.
• Records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights regardless of assignment.
• Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity:

Starting Pay:

Competitive base rates up to $25.50 per hour based on licensure, shift, hours, and experience plus shift differentials

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• 7am-3pm- Full-time and part-time
• 3pm-11pm- Full-time and part-time
• Per diem

Additional Expectations:

Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
