Job summary

BrightStar Care in Salt Lake City is seeking CNAs and Caregivers to provide compassionate in-home care and support. You’ll follow a plan of care, assist with daily activities, and help clients maintain independence in their own homes.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay with direct deposit, benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus RN oversight and an employee referral program to recognize outstanding work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• TB test negative or chest x-ray clear.
• Driver with own insured vehicle.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Empathy for client needs.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Polite, respectful, professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per nursing supervisor instructions (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, vital signs).
• Deliver care according to the patient’s plan (feeding, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation).

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants - CNAs and Caregivers:

• Providing personal care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and takingvital signs.
• Providing care according to the patient’s plan of care,including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants - CNAs and Caregivers:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified CPR
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with their own insured and reliable automobile
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
