The New Jewish Home's SkillSpring program seeks a mission-driven Job Developer to lead employment, internship, and career placement efforts for CRED NYC participants in NYC’s healthcare sector.

Reporting to the CRED NYC Director, the role involves connecting CNA participants with paid work experiences, coordinating with case managers and employer partners, and providing job readiness support to ensure placement success and retention across multiple sites in Manhattan, the Bronx, and beyond.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Health Administration, HR, Social Work, Career Development, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in job development, workforce development, or career services, ideally with underserved communities.
• Must be willing to travel to partner sites across NYC and work occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain relationships with employer partners in long-term care and healthcare to expand CNA opportunities.
• Conduct one-on-one job readiness sessions and create individualized employment plans.
• Match participants with rotations, internships, and jobs aligned with training and goals.
• Facilitate workforce readiness workshops on interviewing, communication, and workplace expectations.
• Support job placement by coaching on applications, resumes, and interview prep; assist onboarding and retention.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor progress and provide three-month follow-up post-placement.
• Maintain an organized database of opportunities; track placements, feedback, and retention metrics.
• Provide reports and meet DYCD and CRED NYC requirements.
• Represent SkillSpring at job fairs and networking events.
• Perform other duties to advance participant success.
