Job summary

Westhab Inc. in Bronx, NY is seeking a Job Developer (CRED) to establish and maintain activities to develop, locate, and secure job opportunities for program participants. The role reports to the Program Director and commands a salary of $50,000.00 to $57,000.00 annually.

The Job Developer will build employer relationships in the community, assess participant skills, and deliver job readiness workshops to prepare residents for employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have strong relationships with construction, porter, maintenance, warehouse and laborer companies.
• Delivers job readiness-training workshops and assists participants with job search skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains employer relationships in the community.
• Assesses participants’ skills to seek appropriate job opportunities.
• Participates in outreach and recruitment by coordinating and attending job fairs.
• Develops employer resources information and maintains a job bank.
• Instructs participants in job seeking, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills.
• Arranges interviews and provides Labor Market information.
• Monitors participant performance on the job and counsels when needed.
