Job summary

ScionHealth's Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake in Northlake, IL, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and help maintain comfort and safety under RN supervision.

The role requires current Nursing Assistant and BLS certifications, plus six months' experience in acute or long-term care. Excellent communication, reliability, and teamwork are essential to succeed on this on-site team.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Takes and records vital signs and documents measurements timely.
• Prepare patient rooms and beds for admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Answer patient call lights, telephone, and paging system promptly.
• Assist with routine treatment procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with feeding and meal service.
