Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene and use of adaptive equipment, and ensuring residents remain comfortable and cleaned and properly dressed.

The role requires completion of a State approved Nurse Aide Training and competency program and being listed on the state registry.

Qualifications

• Must be listed on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Must be able to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Must have reading and writing ability.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Explains procedures to residents before administering.
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled).
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents.
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)

Objective
