Job summary

Mesquite Village Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to residents under supervision. The role includes assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene, adaptive equipment placement, and ensuring comfort by managing linens and bed making.

Clear communication with residents and staff is essential, and reading/writing skills are required for documentation.

Qualifications

• State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing
• Must be able to read and write
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required
• State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)

Objective

Provides basic nursing care to residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.
