Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a nursing assistant to provide basic care to residents under supervision. You will assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and placement of adaptive equipment, and participate in shift reports.

The role requires completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and good standing on the state registry; strong communication and reading/writing skills are essential; prior CNA experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• State-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program completed.
• State Registry listing as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to read and write; ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty

• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)

Objective

Provides basic nursing care to residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing; Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; Must have the ability to read and write.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required
