Job summary

Cornerstone Retirement Community in Texarkana, TX is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for the 2pm–10pm shift. This role includes helping residents with daily activities, providing warmth, and ensuring smooth care through proper documentation, teamwork, and participation in activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas CNA certification, has a heart for elder care, and enjoys building meaningful connections with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Required Education/Certification: Texas CNA certification; completion of Certified Nursing Aide program; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Training & Experience: One year of hospital or long-term care nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Job Knowledge: Basic patient care procedures; ability to learn computer skills; demonstrates ICARE values.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities.

Qualifications

Required Education/Certification/Licensure:

• High school graduate or equivalent is desired.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Aide program is required.
• Possession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Aide certification

Training and Experience:

• One year of experience, preferably as a hospital or long term care nursing assistant is preferred.

Job Knowledge:

• Knowledge/ability to learn computer skills.
• Must have a working knowledge of basic patient care procedures.
