Job summary

Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) is seeking PRN LVNs for Cornerstone in Texarkana, TX to support Memory Support residents. The role focuses on direct nursing care, coordinating CNAs, and ensuring safe medication administration.

Ideal candidates will have graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing and current Texas LVN/LPN license, with geriatric or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred. This is a PRN position with a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Hours: Day shift 6:00am-6:00pm in Memory Support

We are currently seeking PRN LVN’s to:

• direct and coordinate activities of CNAs
• perform basic daily nursing functions
• issue proper medications
• meet the nursing needs of our residents in an efficient, economical, and caring manner- while maintaining high standards and quality care

QualificationsRequired Education/Certification/Licensure:

• Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing and current Texas or Texas compact LVN/LPN license required.

Worker Traits:

• Models a service attitude toward others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative

Training and Experience:

• Training or experience in geriatric, psychiatric or medical/surgical nursing desired.

Job Knowledge:

• Knowledgeable of human development, including the processes of aging, and of social and health problems confronting older persons.
