Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and assist clinical staff. The role requires a flexible schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends. Location is Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities include patient care, hygiene assistance, room preparation, and safe transportation. Prior CNA experience or completion of a state CNA program is preferred, with BLS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of 75-hour CNA course or 6 months CNA experience required.
• Current BLS certification preferred or required within 3 months of hire.
• Weekend rotation and flexible scheduling may be available.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Document patient data accurately in Cerner and/or worksheets.
• Maintain clean and safe treatment spaces; ensure patient safety.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and communicate with the health care team.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and transportation as needed.
