The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides residents and patients with the highest quality routine daily nursing care, in accordance with company standards and all applicable regulations.

Essential Activities And Tasks
Care Management and Service Delivery - 80%
  • Provides daily resident and patient care following nursing procedures and instructions from the Charge Nurse.
  • Maintains the Plan of Care for each resident or patient.
  • Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including hygiene, elimination, comfort, safety, ambulation, skin care, nutrition, and hydration.
  • Assists with care of the dying resident and provides post-mortem care.
  • Observes and reports pressure areas and skin breakdown.
  • Assists with nursing treatments as required.
  • Performs rehabilitative/restorative procedures as needed.
  • Creates a warm, personal, and calm environment throughout the unit.
  • Answers resident calls promptly.
Operations Management - 10%
  • Checks rooms for medications and unauthorized food, reporting findings to the Charge Nurse.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of rooms, work areas, and equipment, following infection control standards.
  • Attends care conferences and departmental meetings as scheduled.
  • Shares insights to improve departmental quality and efficiency.
Administration and Reporting - 10%
  • Records entries such as ADL coding, intake/output, temperature, weight, etc., in the EMR or as directed.
  • Reports changes in residents' or patients' conditions promptly.
  • Communicates concerns and complaints from residents, patients, or families.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
Experience
  • None required; on-the-job training provided.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Working Conditions and Special Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, and walking up to 8 hours/day.
  • Lifting, transferring, pushing, or pulling residents or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Potential exposure to falls, burns, odors, cuts, infectious waste, and bloodborne pathogens.
