Job summary

Serenity Hospice in Scranton, PA is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to provide compassionate end-of-life care in the local community. You will work under a registered nurse, assisting patients with personal needs, promoting comfort, and contributing to safe, high-quality care.

The role requires a valid CNA/HHA certification and at least one year of healthcare experience. Evening and weekend hours are available, with direct deposit payments and mileage reimbursement offered.

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort


• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations


• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient's care


• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications:

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements


• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry


• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill


• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
