Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking devoted weekend caregivers to provide personal care and companionship in the home. You will help with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and medication reminders while ensuring safety and comfort for clients.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and good communicators who can work with clients with dementia or memory challenges. Training and support are provided, with flexible scheduling and ongoing growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and dependable.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks)
• Reliable transportation with valid insurance and good driving record.
• Pass background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Experience in home care or long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Support mobility and safe transfers.
• Prepare meals and provide nutritional support.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Coordinate transportation to appointments and activities.
• Support clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Document care using AxisCare app.
• Follow safety and infection-control policies.
