Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab testing technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel at project sites in Auburn, AL. The role requires communicating findings to the Project Manager and other team members, preparing data reports, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
• Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor's representative and others as applicable regarding site requirements and testing results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis and submit data for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; may assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians.
