Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to join our Jackson, MS field services team. You’ll manage projects, coordinate with senior engineers and field staff, and ensure deadlines are met.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a related field, at least two years of experience, and a PE or PG license. You will mentor staff, prepare proposals and invoices, and maintain client relationships in a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• BS in civil or related engineering field required; some tech degrees may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CMT or construction materials testing.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license required in the state of practice.
• Strong client relationship building and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of heavy construction safety and ASTM CMT standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist management of construction materials testing projects and review daily reports.
• Collaborate with project teams; resolve technical and administrative issues; train field staff.
• Manage budgets, prepare invoices and pay applications, and assist with collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; host or attend client meetings and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing; mentor junior staff.
