Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to join our Jackson, MS field services team. You will manage diverse projects, collaborate with senior engineers and field staff, and ensure timely project completion.

Responsibilities include budget management, invoicing, proposals, change orders, client meetings, and mentoring junior staff to grow the team’s capabilities. A strong safety and ASTM knowledge base is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology; note upper-level Construction Management or some Technology degrees may not be considered.
• Minimum 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license required in the state of practice.
• Strong marketing skills to establish and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of construction materials testing projects with daily report review and issue resolution.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices and pay applications, assist with collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; lead or attend client project meetings and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
