Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Project Manager to join our Ridgeland field services team, driving project success from proposal to final invoice and coordinating with clients and project teams.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior managers, collaboration with staffing teams, and active marketing of ECS services to build and maintain key client relationships for ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Materials Science Eng, Architectural Eng, or Geology; some tech/CM degrees may not be considered.
• Minimum 5 full years of relevant experience.
• Professional licensure: PE or PG required.
• Valid driver's license and insurance if driving for ECS.
• Strong marketing abilities to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills (spoken, reading, writing).
• Solid understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of CMT principles, ASTM lab standards.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Support management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and collaboration with project teams.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collections.
• Prepare and review proposals and change orders; host/attend client meetings and follow up on reports.
• Mentor junior project managers and support team development; work with other managers/recruiters on staffing decisions.
• Market ECS services and develop new and maintain existing client relationships.
