Job summary

Atlas is seeking a CMT Inspector to guide QC inspection activities, ensuring materials and processes meet quality standards and specifications. The role requires coordinating with owners, production teams and engineers while traveling 100% of the time.

Candidates should have certification-based qualifications, preferably AWS-WI, and be able to document findings clearly in daily reports. Additional certifications such as NACE, ICC, AMPP, and PCI are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and Testing: Inspect and release raw materials, in-process items, and finished products using visual and nondestructive testing (MT, UT, PT).
• Compliance Verification: Ensure adherence to contract documents (Welding Codes, Contract Standard Specifications, and Standards).
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, prepare reports highlighting qualified and unqualified items (Daily Reports, NCRs).
• Process Monitoring: Monitor fabrication processes to identify potential quality issues early, calibrate equipment, and verify procedures are followed correctly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with owners, production teams, engineers, and management to implement quality improvements and maintain compliance.
