Job summary

Mullins Mechanical in Texas seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to supervise welding and inspection tasks on industrial sites. You will interpret weld maps, verify compliance with drawings and codes, and support the Site Quality Manager.

Candidates should hold AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570, with 4+ years in quality inspection. The role involves outdoor work, travel, and documenting inspections with Procore and standard Excel tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Quality Management Programs and standards.
• 4+ years as Quality Inspector/Quality Technician.
• AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570 certifications.
• Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).
• Familiar with ASTM standards and materials.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Procore or similar PM software.

Responsibilities

• Create, interpret, and understand Weld Map Isometric drawings using computer software programs.
• Enter welding and inspection information into the tracking tool.
• Assist with pressure testing plans and functions.
• Assemble project documentation packages.
• Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
• Test welders and perform weld inspections under various codes.
• Follow Project Quality Assurance Plans.
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Assist Site Quality Manager with daily activities as assigned.
• Maintain commitment to Mullins core values and safety policies.
