Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for Fayetteville, AR. You will perform QC/QA testing on civil projects and calibrate field-testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specs.

You will also operate a company truck during working hours, maintain lab and field readiness, and pursue CTTP certifications while supporting lab supervision and day-to-day activities.

• Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC/QA testing on Civil Engineering projects.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field-testing equipment.
• Obtain/maintain certifications for performing field and laboratory construction materials testing through a program approved by a State DOT (CTTP).
• Operate and maintain a company truck during working hours.
• Be prepared for field and lab work.
• Keep Lab area clean and workable.
• Reports to the CMT Supervisor for field work and day-to-day operations.
• Responds to requests of Lab Supervisor regarding laboratory activities needed.
• Aids in ordering and obtaining supplies for materials lab.
• Always strive to improve your job performance.
• Be cordial and patient with all fellow employees, owners/clients, and others associated with your job.
• Perform all other duties as requested by the CMT Supervisor not covered in this description above, but necessary to ensure an effective operation of MCE on a continuing basis.
