Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a lab/field technician to perform QC/QA testing on civil engineering projects across our Arkansas offices. You will calibrate equipment, support field operations, and help maintain a clean, safe lab environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to pass a drug screen and background check, and willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Growth opportunities exist within a multidisciplinary engineering firm.

Qualifications

• QC/QA testing on Civil Engineering projects.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field-testing equipment.
• Be prepared for field and lab work.
• Strong ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC/QA testing on Civil Engineering projects.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field-testing equipment.
• Obtain/maintain certifications for performing field and laboratory construction materials testing through a program approved by a State DOT.
• Operate and maintain a company truck during working hours.
• Be prepared for field and lab work.
• Keep Lab area clean and workable.
• Reports to the CMT Supervisor for field work and day-to-day operations.
• Responds to requests of Lab Supervisor regarding laboratory activities needed.
• Aids in ordering and obtaining supplies for materials lab.
• Always strive to improve your job performance.
• Be cordial and patient with all fellow employees, owners/clients, and others associated with your job.
• Perform all other duties as requested by the CMT Supervisor not covered in this description above, but necessary to ensure an effective operation of MCE on a continuing basis.
